Tool Methodology
Understand the formulas, assumptions, privacy boundaries and testing methods behind ModernMania tools.

Methodology overview
ModernMania tools are designed to make a narrow task easier. They fall into three categories: formatters that transform user-provided text, calculators that apply disclosed mathematical rules, and generators that combine user inputs with curated templates. The current toolkit does not represent template output as artificial intelligence.
Browser-side processing
Current homepage tools are implemented in JavaScript and run in the browser. ModernMania does not intentionally receive the text or numbers entered into these utilities. However, a website visit can still create ordinary server logs and analytics events. Browser extensions, network administrators or third-party services outside our control may also process information.
Tool-by-tool logic
Caption Formatter
Removes trailing spaces, reduces excessive blank lines and optionally inserts a visible separator between paragraphs. It does not assess factual accuracy, tone or platform compliance.
Character Counter
Counts JavaScript string characters and whitespace-separated words. Some platforms count combined emoji, URLs or Unicode sequences differently, so the number may not exactly match every publishing interface.
Hashtag Cleaner
Splits entries on spaces or commas, removes unsupported punctuation, normalizes case for duplicate detection and displays up to thirty unique hashtags. It does not measure popularity or retrieve live trend data.
Title Analyzer
Applies a rule-based score for a practical length range, specificity signals, recognizable intent words, punctuation and sufficient context. The score is an editing aid, not a prediction of search or recommendation performance.
Engagement Rate
The displayed calculation is: (likes + comments + saves) ÷ followers × 100. Other analysts may use reach, impressions, views or averages across multiple posts, so comparisons require the same definition.
Aspect Ratio
The tool reduces width and height using their greatest common divisor. New height equals new width × original height ÷ original width, rounded to the nearest whole pixel.
UTM Builder
Adds source, medium and campaign values using standard URL query parameters. The tool does not shorten the URL or verify that an analytics platform received the visit.
Hook and Username Generators
These tools combine inputs with curated patterns. Outputs may resemble existing phrases, brands or usernames. Users must check originality, trademarks, availability and context.
Posting Planner
Distributes a selected number of posts across a seven-day sample week using fixed baseline times. It cannot access account analytics and should be replaced by observed audience data when available.
Earnings Estimator
The midpoint equals monetized views ÷ 1,000 × user-supplied RPM. The illustrative low and high values are 70% and 130% of that midpoint. They are scenarios, not forecasts or guarantees.
Quality assurance
Tools should be tested with typical inputs, empty inputs, zero values, unusually large values, punctuation, mobile widths and keyboard navigation. Material calculation errors receive priority correction. Platform-dependent guidance is reviewed periodically but may lag an unannounced change.
Limitations and responsibility
Outputs depend on user inputs and simplified assumptions. Readers remain responsible for reviewing content, checking platform policies, protecting confidential information and obtaining professional advice where appropriate.
